Fire Damage and Pack Out Information

Superior Cleaning and Restoration, Inc. is an experienced full-service contractor, capable of handling all phases of restoration of your home and possessions.

The damage to your home can be disruptive and traumatic to you; we will explain the scope and sequence of the project before we begin the work.  As the project continues, you will have questions which did not occur to you at the outset - we will address your concerns immediately.

Certain items may be determined to be non-cleanable, and will be listed as ‘salvage’ by your insurance carrier; this means that your insurance carrier will work directly with you on replacement or allowance for these items.  Superior Cleaning may be asked to store these items for your inspection; we will dispose of them for you after you have signed a Release form with us.

Whether you occupy your home during the restoration, or you have off-site living accommodations, you may need some of your possessions to be quickly cleaned and returned to you.

If your clothing, shoes, and bed linens are affected by the loss, we will arrange for a dry cleaner to meet you at the house.  You will designate which laundry and dry cleanable items should be put on ‘rush’, and which items can be put on normal delivery.  If you can’t be at the house to meet the dry cleaner, please segregate your cleaning into ‘rush’ and ‘normal’ bundles before we schedule pick-up.

You may also need to have daily-use kitchen items cleaned immediately our crew supervisor will work with you to see that first things are cleaned first.

Business and personal financial papers may need immediate cleaning and ozone treatment for smoke odor.  Please bring this to our attention if this is the case.

The cleaning and restoration procedures that we use are non-destructive to the items being cleaned; however, the appearance of some items may change due to the type and severity of smoke exposure or to a deteriorated condition prior to the loss.

Some items, after initial cleaning, may not be restored to pre-loss condition.  Options at this point may include re-cleaning, refinishing, replacement, or an appearance allowance.  This determination will be made by your insurance carrier.  We will keep you informed as the project proceeds.

If structural, paint, or flooring restoration is indicated and you do not have a preferred contractor, Superior Cleaning can recommend an experienced general contractor, subject to approval by you and your insurance carrier.
